Origin Story
Two Contractors. One Markup Problem. A Company Built to Delete It.
Brothers Mark and Dan Reilly spent the 1990s and early 2000s running residential job sites across central Ohio. Every estimate they wrote carried the same hidden tax: distributor markup layered twice between the factory floor and the truck bed — plus a third layer from the big-box retailer on the way to the contractor's clipboard. By 2007 the brothers had had enough.
They pooled their savings, signed the lease on a 28,000-square-foot building off Industrial Park Drive in Columbus, and started calling manufacturers directly. The first factory-direct purchase order went out the same week. Seventeen years later that same operation fills orders from a 92,000-square-foot warehouse with same-day shipping on every order placed before 4:30 PM ET — still run by the same family, still cutting out the markup.
