What is the 14-day window for filing a hardware price match claim?

Claims must be submitted within 14 calendar days of the delivery date shown on the carrier's tracking record. The lower competing price must be a publicly available advertised price — not a private quote, marketplace seller offer, or price protected by a manufacturer Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy.

How does the 110% refund work?

If you submit a verified claim showing a lower publicly available price on an identical in-stock SKU from one of the 17 competitors we monitor, we refund 110% of the difference — your original purchase price is reduced by 1.1× the gap. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of claim approval.

Which competitors are included in the price match audit?

What items are excluded from the price match guarantee?

MAP-restricted SKUs where the manufacturer prohibits public price advertising, third-party marketplace sellers on Amazon or eBay, clearance and closeout pricing from competitors, bundle or kit pricing that isn't sold as a standalone SKU, pricing errors on competitor sites, and bulk-tier quantities above 1,000 units (which fall under contract quoting instead).

Can I submit a claim if I already received the order?

Yes — the 14-day window starts at delivery, not at order placement. As long as the lower competing price was advertised publicly at any point within those 14 days and the SKU is identical and in stock at the competitor, your claim is eligible.

The clock starts on the carrier delivery scan, not the order date. Submit any time inside that 14-day window — even if the lower price surfaces on day 13 at 11:58 PM ET, you're covered. Tracking is tied to your order automatically, so we already know your exact deadline before you file.

02 / Scope

17 named competitors.

Eligible comparison sources are limited to the 17 retailers we audit every morning at 6:00 AM ET: Amazon, Amazon Business, Home Depot, Lowe's, Grainger, Fastenal, MSC Industrial, McMaster-Carr, Ace Hardware (corporate), True Value, Northern Tool, Acme Tools, Toolbarn, Ohio Power Tool, CPO Outlets, Walmart Business, and Target Business. Private seller marketplaces, auction listings, and regional independents don't qualify.

03 / What's covered

In-stock, factory-pack SKUs.

The competing listing must be the identical manufacturer part number, new in sealed factory packaging, currently in stock, and shippable to your jobsite address. Sale prices that ran within the last 30 days count. Open-box, refurbished, B-stock, and "limited quantity" teaser listings do not.

04 / What's excluded

MAP-priced items, bundles, freight quotes.

Manufacturer Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) items are locked at the MAP floor by policy and can't be price-matched below it. Custom kitted bundles, cut-to-length fasteners, and special-order items drop-shipped from the manufacturer are excluded because their cost basis isn't ours to discount. Freight-included quotes from Grainger and McMaster-Carr compare against their LTL rates, not parcel shipping.

The messy real-world stuff

Edge cases and how we handle them.

These are the four scenarios that stop claims from getting submitted. None of them disqualify you — each has a documented handling path.

The item is MAP-priced by the manufacturer.

Some categories — most major power tool batteries, certain Milwaukee and DeWalt accessories — carry a Minimum Advertised Price written into the manufacturer's reseller agreement. We can't legally advertise below the MAP floor, so neither can Amazon, Home Depot, or anyone else. If your competing price is the MAP floor, you're already at the lowest possible advertised price anywhere. Submit the claim anyway and we'll issue a free-freight credit on your next order equal to 10% of the difference as a good-faith adjustment.

The lower price is from a third-party Amazon seller.

Amazon Marketplace listings from non-Amazon warehouses are excluded — their pricing is unregulated, they ship from unknown locations, and "in stock" can mean a single unit in a garage. We compare against Amazon direct only. If the seller has 500+ lifetime feedback, 95%+ positive rating, and ships from a verifiable US warehouse, email us the listing and we'll review it case-by-case within one business day.

The competitor bundles the SKU and the bundle is cheaper.

If Home Depot is selling the same drill at $189 as part of a "$189 with free batteries and bag" promo, we look at the per-component price. If the bare tool is comparable, we match the equivalent component pricing — usually within a couple of dollars. Bundles are excluded from the headline comparison, but the underlying components are still eligible individually.

I found the lower price after my 14 days are up.

The 14-day window from delivery is firm. However, if the lower price surfaces on a SKU you reorder regularly — same part number, same job — call our trade desk at (614) 555-0184 and we'll honor a one-time retroactive match on a single reorder as a standing-account courtesy. We document these per account so repeat retroactive matches don't happen.
